As another year comes to and end so does our Paddle Junkie Memberships.

We are no longer linked with Waterwerks so we are just doing individual memberships at this time. Adult (18+) Paddle Junkies Memberships are $25. You will also need to fill out a 2010 membership form and AWA waiver.

So hopefully everyone is getting out on the river heaps this summer, now that we finally have some warm weather its even more inviting to get out on the water. If you are thinking that it just might be time for a new boat or maybe even your first boat come on down to the shop on July 18th and 19th to check out the deals. We are selling off a bunch of our Demo boats (some of the boats you may have paddled on courses before) both whitewater and Touring. Also we will be having a sale on all new and used Pyranha Kayaks, and both this year and lastyears canoes from Hellman, Novacraft and Mad River.
If you would like to put an old boat of yours in the sale you can drop it off on Friday the 17th and we can help you choose a price, all unsold boats must be picked up on sunday!

Hello Paddle Junkies!

As you probably already know, Simon Coward is a big supporter of Paddle Junkies. To show his support for the club, he is providing several "Paddle Junkies appreciation" evening sessions on the Kananaskis river. These small group instructional sessions are intended to show appreciation for people who contribute to the club in a positie way, through volunteer efforts or other involvement (example: making new members feel welcome, providing help on club runs etc.). 

We will have several sessions throughout the summer. Current and past Paddle Junkies executive and trip leaders will be attending the first few. After those sessions, the season will be well underway, and we hope to have lots of awesome Paddle Junkies members to send.

If you would like to nominate an outstanding Paddle Junkie for these sessions, please email me at finance@paddlejunkies.com . Remember, you can't sign up for these events on the calendar - you have to be nominated, and I will send out the invites prior to the event.

We are offering preorders so everyone can get the right size and we get the right amount made. Deadline: Wednesday April 29th 6pm

Simon from Aquabatics is inviting everyone for a thank you BBQ at Canoe Meadows (on the Kananaskis River) from noon to 2pm on Saturday August 30th.  They will also bring out a bunch of boats if anyone (who has taken a course) wants to demo them free of charge. After the BBQ, Matt, Blair and Simon will be hitting the river for a paddle if anyone wants to join them.

Photos are up on the resource section. The Elk trip on the August long weekend. And the Wrath of Kan II run from Aug 10th. Thanks to all the photographers!
